About Slightly Crunchy
There are so many mom types out there A, B, C, crunchy, scrunchy, silky, and so on and on. A, B, and C referring to personality types while crunchy refers to the all natural, toxin free, gentle parenting, close bonding, no screens, and more. All too often the crunchy mom is referred to as crazy over the top with it. On the other hand, a silky mom often refers to a mom who embraces modern conveniences, more relaxed environment, and focuses on things like not burning out and self care. And then the scrunchy mom, which I relate to the most, a little bit of both.
I go for the organic when it comes to the most pesticide laden foods. I choose foods that have minimal to no processing. I embrace modern medicine with a touch of home remedies. If my kid is running a fever I am at the doctor. But if we are just feeling some congestion a home remedy works better than over the counter drugs. I try to reduce plastic exposure where I can keeping in mind that I can never fully rid ourselves of it (its in the air, after all, we breath in micro plastics with every breath). And finally, screen time.. Will it be a long time before my kids have a tablet or phone in front of their face? Yes. But you better believe I'm not afraid to put Ms. Rachel on the screen and drink a hot cup of coffee.
On A Little More Personal Note
Let me introduce myself. I'm Tiffany, Momma to two little boys, an infant and toddler. I work full time as well as my husband. We work opposite schedules so, as you can imagine, we are very busy. I have found myself struggling to balance work and spending true quality time with my kids. All too often I find myself just trying to get chores done instead of playing and hanging out with my children while they are young. I have found myself with many, many dreams and goals for this life and want to share my journey, tips and tricks, and any food for thought I may have along the way. And maybe some actual food too. 😋
